Choreographer, performer and teacher. After finishing his Computer Engineering studies in 1985, she entered the Spiral Dance Center to study and practice dance with Joan Turner and Patricio Bunster. In 1990 she began her development as a choreographer: «Entre – Lunas» and «How an inverted space became…. fish”, are some of his initial works.
In 1993 he received a scholarship for further training at the American Dance Festival and in 1995 he obtained a residency scholarship in New York, awarded by the Andes Foundation, where he studied at the Movement Research Dance Center with Susan Klein, Barbara Mahler, Jeremy Nelson, Wally Cardona, Shelly Senter, Barbara Grubel, K.J Holmes among others.
Among her most notable works are “Espacios Invertirs” – 1998, “Sin Respiro” – 2000, ALTAZOR Award, “Emergencias” 2003, as guest choreographer of the Carta Blanca season with the Chilean National Ballet and “When I Bailo, I Bailo; When I Sleep, I Sleep “ – 2007, Art Critics Circle Award and Altazor Award. Radicales Libres, his latest work was commissioned by the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center in 2014.
In 2005 and 2006 he participated as a performer in the theater project “La Patria: El Cuerpo” and “La Patria: Padre” by director Rodrigo Pérez.
He works as a teacher at the U. Católica Theater School and at the UAHC Dance School. He independently teaches research and performance creation laboratories around the themes Body, Authorship and Performativity both in Santiago and in different cities of the country.
Since 2015, she has performed choreographic work for the Chilean films “Neruda” by Pablo Larraín and “Una mujer fantastica” by Sebastián Lelio, and she also participated as an actress in the film “7 Semanas” by the young filmmaker Constanza Figari.
